While traveling for work, we found Purple Basil on Yelp. I'm so glad we stopped here. It's an adorable family run business with a fresh innovative menu. The homemade couscous salad was incredible. The hummus on my wrap was awesome. It's very reasonably priced and worth a visit!

I've been coming here for lunch for several months, and everything that I've tried on the menu has not disappointed. Tuna melt panini and chick salad on croissant are top notch. Substitute chips for the fruit cup. It's usually empty because most customers order for delivery so don't let the emptiness fool you into thinking they aren't good.

An easy place to overlook in bland strip mall in Holly Hill. You need to park in back. The purple basil braid breakfast special is delicious. (The basil is purple not the braid; let's be clear.) A pleasant, friendly vibe pervades place. Good soups at lunchtime, particularly the rosemary chicken.

Brand new on US 1 in Daytona Beach, Purple Basil specialty sandwiches is an absolute gem. Fresh made sandwiches and salads in a wide variety fill the menu. Homemade soups are fantastic and flavorful. Especially good are the rosemary chicken and dumpling soup. Wonderful rosemary flavor! And the roasted bell pepper soup with smoked Gouda. Muffuletta was excellent with just the right amount of olive salad and the bread was perfect. Croque Monsieur was piping hot and very rich. I wish I was local and could try more menu items. The breakfast menu looks fantastic. Great to see a family business like this. Please support them!

If you are looking for a good lunch place in the Daytona area, here it is. It is so hard to find decent food in the area. They have a variety of sandwiches and salads. My favorite is the caprese. They put a little spin on it by adding lettuce and olives. The Nicoise is also good as well as the Mediterranean panini. They deliver and the service is warm and welcoming.
